Following its creation as a boat race in 1965, the annual Roses Tournament has grown into one of the largest inter-university competitions in the UK. The fierce competition between the University of York and the University of Lancaster is host to 51 sports and 146 fixtures over 1 weekend. Of the 13 years, UYWAFC has been a participant in the Roses tournament, the 1st team has a 4-3-6 record and the 2nd team has a 4-0 record. The past 4 years have been extremely successful for the club in the tournament and we are hoping to continue building on this success.
